N. Main Street Housing Improvement Project - Employment Notice
The Town of South Boston is preparing to carry out the N. Main Street Targeted Site Housing Rehabilitation Project through the use of Virginia Community Development Block Grant Funds. In the implementation of this project the following job types may be available:
Carpenters, electricians, roofers, plumbers, HVAC installers, excavators, and demolition contractors.
In carrying out this project the Town of South Boston, its contractors and subcontractors will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize qualified persons who permanently reside within the County of Halifax for employment and training positions.
All job openings will be listed with the Southside Planning District Commission. Persons qualified for the jobs listed should register at the following location:

Additionally, the following contracts and procurements will/may be made:
Housing Rehabilitation and New Construction, Termite Inspections/Treatment, Electrical Inspections, Demolition/Clearance, and Water/Sewer Lateral Replacement/Repairs
Town of South Boston will, to the greatest extent feasible, use businesses located in and owned by persons residing in the County of Halifax.
