All White party
In hopes to raise funding for the Washington Coleman Community Center’s Classroom Museum and our gym maintenance project, the center held it first All White Party Dance. The funds raised from the event were an outstanding start to our development plans. I hope to have a museum that will share the history of the Washington Coleman building, the first African American High School in Halifax County, with displays and signage with due respects to the history of this building. Funds are also helping with the wear and tear of our exercise machines that patrons enjoy.
