                     Results of 2001 - 2002 Business & Industrial League Season

                      Senior Exercise Group Fashion Show and Awards Banquet


                           

                              Redskins vs. Cowboys flag football game: The fans of these two NFL Teams meet once a year to settle their differences on the field, and to earn bragging rights.  Game day have been tentatively set for September 16th, 6:00 PM at Mary Bethune Field.  Any other NFL fans that can field a team are welcome to challenge wither team.  Call 575-4230 for more information..

*                Women's Open Gym - Open gym for women replaces the former women's aerobic class.  The current open gym starts in May so come out and join in the fun and create your own workout. Approximately 50 women formulate their own workout programs; play volleyball, basketball, and walk.  This group will meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. starting May 1st. 

*              Senior Exercise Group - This group meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. to stretch, walk, dance, do aerobics, lift weights, enjoy the conversation and much more. Everyone 50 years and over is welcome to join.  There are over 50 total members, and about 25 visits per session year round. 

*              Weight Room - The weight room can accommodate about 15 people at once doing a complete body workout.  It receives about 150 visits per week during the winter months, and about 100 during the spring/summer.  With the installation of air conditioning, the numbers remain around 150 visits per week year round.  The weight room is available during all open gym hours.

                      Neighborhood Softball Game - Organized softball games behind Washington Coleman School for different age groups.  Cookout and games organized by the South Boston Rec. Dept.  Date to be announced.
