RE:  2008 Council Meeting Schedule

 

 

As required by §2.2-3707 of the Code of Virginia the schedule of 2008 meetings for Council is

listed as follows.  Please refer to the monthly Council Agenda Packet for any changes.  

 

  • TOWN COUNCIL – Council Chambers, 502 Yancey Street, South Boston
    • Second Monday night in each month at 7:00 p.m. – regular formal meeting
    • Last Monday night in each month at 5:45 p.m. – work session format
    • Third Monday, bi-monthly, joint meeting with Halifax County Board of   Supervisors and Halifax Town Council, at 6:00 p.m Bethune Complex, Halifax                                                 Staff Contact: Jane Jones,  575-4200

 

  • PLANNING COMMISSION -   Meets on the Second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 502 Yancey Street

  • INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY – Meets on call as needed at 4:00 p.m. in the Town Manager’s Office Conference Room, Town Hall

  • BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS  - Meets on call as needed on the Second Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

  • TRANSPORTATION SAFETY COMMISSION – Meets quarterly, usually on a Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the South Boston Police Station, Hamilton Blvd.                                Staff Contact:  Chief Mick Reed  575-4270
